Booking Terms & Conditions

Detailed below are the terms of agreement between you and Vila do Ouro. Please read these conditions carefully. Upon signing the Booking Form, you accept liability for the performance of the contract between us on behalf of the entire party. Accurate information concerning the number of adults and the ages of children in the party is both important and valuable to us.

Booking and Payment

If you would like to make a booking for an accommodation, we kindly request you to complete the reservation form and return it to us. We will confirm the availability and the total cost. If you agree we will email you a confirmation and an invoice of the down payment of 25%. After receiving your deposit of 25% the booking is final.

The full balance is required 8 weeks prior to arrival at Vila do Ouro. We will email you an invoice for the 75% 10 weeks before arrival at Vila do Ouro.

If a booking is made and confirmed within 10 weeks of the arrival date, full payment must be made immediately.

If we do not have any type of accommodation available, we will inform you as soon as possible. If we have alternative accommodation available, we will inform you immediately. In case you need an option to sort things out before the final booking, we can give you a two-day option or 48 hours

Damage Deposit

A refundable damage/security deposit is required to cover damage, accidental or otherwise, to the holiday rental property during the period of your stay. A charge of 125.00 Euro is applied to the studios and bungalows and 250.00 Euro for the apartments. The damage deposit has to be paid on the day of arrival at Vila do Ouro. On the day of departure, we will return this amount after checking the accommodation

Cost of Holiday

Except where otherwise stated, all high season rentals will include electricity – water – gas. However, Vila do Ouro reserve the right to charge for additional or excessive usage. The cost of utilities will be charged as extras during winter and low season.

Accommodation

The reserved accommodation is provided solely for the use of the clients listed on the booking form. Sub-letting, sharing or assignment is prohibited and will automatically invalidate the agreement to provide accommodation. In all cases, you should inform the management beforehand if you are receiving guests/visitors.

Pets

Without permission of Vila do Ouro, pets are not allowed to stay at Vila do Ouro.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel your holiday for whatever reason after payment of your deposit, you should notify Vila do Ouro in writing by fax or email as soon as possible.

The following charges will apply:

1. Cancellations made more than 8 weeks prior to arrival: 50% of the deposit will be returned.

2. Cancellations made less than 8 weeks prior to arrival: sorry no refunds will be paid.

We strongly recommend all our guests to obtain holiday travel insurance against such eventualities.

Arrival and Departure

The accommodation is available from 16.00hrs and at the end of your stay we ask you to leave no later than 10.00hrs. This allows us to prepare the accommodation for each new arrival. We will arrange for secure areas to store clients’ baggage. Arrivals are possible every day of the week.

Minimum stay at Vila do Ouro is 3 nights.
