Season 2026
VILA DO OURO IS OPEN AGAIN!
After a long, cold and especially wet winter, the moment has finally arrived: the new season has begun and in the first couple of weeks our clients already enjoyed Vila do Ouro! As our returning guests know very well, we never sit still during the winter months. Once again, a lot of hard work has gone into preparing Vila do Ouro for a fresh, sunny and carefree season.
Much of what we do isn’t immediately visible. For example, the fact that everything has been repainted hardly stands out anymore, because it always looks this good 😉 But behind the scenes, a great deal has been done to keep everything in excellent condition.
What’s new in 2026?
- All doors in the apartments have been freshly varnished and the walls repainted
- The former bunk‑bed rooms have been transformed into comfortable double rooms
- New furniture: bedside tables, wardrobes and kitchen butlers
- New combi‑microwaves in the apartments
- Dishwashers in all apartments
- New bedding throughout Vila do Ouro
- A new sun deck at bungalow 8
- New terrace furniture at the apartment “DeLuxo” sleeping 4 (see photo)
And yes… the winter didn’t exactly cooperate
The rainfall in January and February was extraordinary. As a result, many contractors and handymen fell behind schedule and so did we. Some projects have therefore been moved to next winter:
- The yoga deck has been started, but will only be completed in the winter of 2027
- The tennis court was supposed to be repainted, but the weather made that impossible
- And a few more behind‑the‑scenes projects are now planned for next year
Vila do Ouro is always evolving!
The swimming pools are wonderfully warm (26–28°C), the garden is looking beautiful, and the sun is already shining with real spring energy. Our guests are walking around happily and that’s exactly what we do it for.
