Vila do Ouro isn’t just a great place for family holidays. It’s also a wonderful destination for couples, or for a quiet getaway for two. Our bungalows are especially popular with honeymooners and romantic couples looking for peace, nature and a space of their own.
You’ve got everything you need, plus your own little garden filled with tropical plants and trees. The birds sing, the crickets chirp pretty much 24 hours a day and the quiet, green surroundings make it easy to enjoy each other’s company. You can make your holiday as romantic as you like. But the bungalows are also often booked by hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers and sporty guests who want to explore the Algarve. Vila do Ouro is the perfect base to discover the region by car.
We also welcome guests who come simply to unwind. Thanks to the privacy, the natural surroundings and the pool terrace, it’s a great place to slow down. And with our fast Wi-Fi network, we’ve become quite popular with digital nomads; guests who spend a few weeks working a few hours each day and then enjoy the Algarve the rest of the time.
🔸 The Bungalow Special offers the most privacy, with a beautiful terrace and great garden furniture. But our standard bungalows also come with plenty of greenery and spacious terraces. All bungalows have air-conditioning and reliable Wi-Fi. indoors and outside.
💍 We occasionally get asked if Vila do Ouro can be used as a wedding venue. And speaking from experience (we got married here ourselves) it absolutely can. The setting is like paradise. That said, there are a few practical challenges: we don’t have a restaurant or kitchen for large groups, no covered area for big events, and renting Vila do Ouro exclusively comes with a hefty price tag. Especially in the sunny summer months. Full rental means not only the overnight prices but also the cost of blocking other bookings.
That said, we’ve hosted five successful wedding and family celebrations. For bigger groups, there are small accommodations nearby that can be reserved as extra accommodations. A lot is possible, and we have experience arranging catering, furniture, music and more.
Finally, it’s good to know that we’re very familiar with the area. We can recommend some fantastic restaurants in stunning romantic settings. And for honeymooners with young kids: we offer a babysitting service…so that special night out for dinner doesn’t have to be just a dream.
